This page is the reference for the SESender REST API. The interactive docs show authentication, each endpoint, and code samples. This summary is the same public information in HTML, so it can be read without running the application.
Calls use JSON at https://sesender.com/api/v1. Send an API key on every request with the header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. The same key can send SMS, send email, manage contacts, validate numbers and addresses, create tracked links, and read analytics, but only when that key has the matching permission.
What the API covers
SMS sending is POST /api/v1/sms/send. The body takes a recipient and a message, and it can also take a sender ID, a provider or route name, and link-tracking settings. You can ask the API to check the suppression list before it sends. Message history endpoints list sent SMS and look up a single message. Email sending is POST /api/v1/email/send, with the same Bearer key and its own permission.
The same reference covers contacts, bulk contact upload, CSV mapping, contact groups, templates, and analytics for SMS, email, and campaigns. Validation endpoints check a phone number or an email address, one at a time or in a batch. Tracked-link endpoints create links on verified custom tracking domains. Webhook endpoints register a URL for message events.
Rate limits by plan
Each key is limited per hour by the plan. Essential allows 500 requests an hour and up to 5 keys. Professional allows 2,000 requests an hour and up to 10 keys. Enterprise Pro allows 10,000 requests an hour and up to 25 keys. A custom hourly override on the account is used when one is set.
Starter has no API access. Its plan definition sets the hourly limit and the key allowance to zero, and API access is off. A Starter key is rejected with plan_upgrade_required until the account is on Essential or higher. It is not given a Starter hourly quota. A key that does have API access and goes over its hour receives HTTP 429 and rate_limit_exceeded. The docs describe the X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, and X-RateLimit-Reset headers.
Plans, SMS, and email around the API
API sends use the same monthly plans as the dashboard. Starter is free, includes 100 SMS and 100 emails a month, and does not include API access. Essential is €250 a month, Professional is €750 a month, and Enterprise Pro is €1,250 a month. New accounts include €50 in free credits, and no credit card is required. See plans and pricing. Per-message SMS rates by country and network are on bulk SMS pricing.
The bulk SMS API page explains the send, track, and validate workflow, and the bulk SMS platform is the dashboard on the same infrastructure. Email created through the API is still delivered by a provider you connect. See email providers, the bulk email sender, and email marketing for affiliates.
FAQ
Does the Starter plan include API access?
No. Starter is free and includes 100 SMS and 100 emails a month, and it does not include API access. Essential, Professional, and Enterprise Pro include API access, at 500, 2,000, and 10,000 requests an hour per key.
How do I authenticate?
Create a key in the account, grant only the permissions that integration needs, and send Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. The docs show that header on every sample, including POST /api/v1/sms/send.
Can one key send email as well as SMS?
Yes. POST /api/v1/email/send uses the same key model and its own permission. Delivery still goes through an email provider connected to the account.
Where are prices listed?
Monthly plans, the free Starter allowances, and the €50 free credit are on plans and pricing. Per-message SMS rates by country and network are on bulk SMS pricing.
